Facility Upgrade: New Turf Facility Coming January 2026
Dear Members, Players, Parents and Guests:
We hope that you have been enjoying our newly renovated facility at SPORTIME Schenectady! While the fire that precipitated the $5 million overhaul was certainly an unfortunate event, the end result is a much improved club, including our courts, social spaces, locker rooms and more.
Today we are writing to share some exciting news about additional changes, coming soon!
In early January, SPORTIME will be adding an indoor turf facility to our array of features! Our new air-structure will now house an 11,000 square foot turf field, sub-dividable into two practice fields, in place of the two existing tennis courts. SPORTIME will offer turf rentals, instructional and competitive programs in soccer, lacrosse and other turf sports, turf-sport birthday parties and events, and more!
In conjunction with the launch of our indoor turf center, we will be converting the dedicated pickleball building back to tennis courts, so that our indoor tennis court count will remain at 6 and so that all of our indoor courts will be in permanent, conditioned buildings. The two new tennis courts will have blended lines, allowing them to quickly convert to four spacious pickleball courts, so that our members and players can continue to enjoy SPORTIME's great pickleball programming, open-play sessions, court-time and more. This work will be executed around the Thanksgiving holiday, and should create little to no disruption to club activities.
