Tanya, originally from Minsk, Belarus, began playing tennis at the age of 6. She played competitively as a junior and was ranked in the top-20 in her home country. Beginning in 2019, she attended and played for Old Dominion University, where she was named to the All-Conference USA Freshman Team and went on to be a two-time doubles All-American. In 2023, Tanya went undefeated in Sun Belt play and was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference. Tanya earned a bachelor of science in cybersecurity at Old Dominion University. She later joined the University of Texas at Austin's women’s tennis team while pursuing a master of arts in design research focused on healthcare. Tanya joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2024.
