Robin Deitch-Nogrady
Robin, originally from Lynbrook, New York, began playing tennis at the age of eight. She was an elite junior player, achieving Eastern Section rankings of #3 in the G10 division, #2 in the G12 division, #1 in the G14, G16, and G18 divisions, and was ranked among the top-30 players nationally. In high school, Robin captured the New York State Singles Championship. Beginning in 1989, she attended the University of South Carolina, where she played on the women’s tennis team for all four years, and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1993. She holds program records for most tiebreakers and third sets won. After college, Robin competed on the professional tour, recording a win over Mary Joe Fernandez, and reaching the finals of the Olympic Festival in mixed doubles against Pete Sampras. She later was the Head Tennis Professional at a private club in New York. Robin joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2025.
