Meet Our New Golf Instructor + New Golf Programs

Dear Members, Associates, Players and Parents:

We are pleased to welcome Ed Sallie to SPORTIME Port Washington as our new indoor-season Golf Instructor. Ed will be offering private and group golf lessons through March, 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to work with an instructor of Ed’s caliber, in advance of the 2026 outdoor golf season, whether you’re looking to elevate your own game, or to provide your children with structured, high-level instruction, or both!

About Ed Sallie:
Ed, originally from Great River, NY, began playing golf at the age of nine, and competed in local, regional and national tournaments in the Metropolitan PGA Section as a junior. Beginning in 1980, he attended Temple University, where he played on the men’s golf team and earned a bachelor’s degree in business and information technology in 1984. A Medalist at the U.S. Mid-Amateur Long Island Qualifier and a Met PGA Long Island Pro Assistant Champion, Ed has been a PGA teaching professional for nearly 40 years, and the Director of Golf Instruction at a top Long Island golf club since 2011.
