A native of Ghana, West Africa, Alima earned a spot on the Ghanaian National Team at the age of 7. She then received a scholarship from the ITF to play in tournaments across Africa and Europe, ultimately achieving an ITF junior ranking of No. 65 in the world. From the ages of 17 to 19, Alima was a member of Ghana’s Fed Cup team, winning Ghana’s athlete of the year award an astonishing 5 times! Alima attended the City College of New York from which she graduated with a degree in Fitness & Nutrition. She joined SPORTIME/JMTA in 2009.
