About

Specialty pickleball clinics provide focused instruction and practice opportunities for players looking to improve particular skills or address specific areas of their game. Here are some examples of specialty pickleball clinics offered at SPORTIME:

Dinking Clinic: Dinking is an essential skill required for pickleball success at every level of play. This clinic concentrates on improving touch, control, and placement for soft shots near the net. Participants learn proper grip, paddle angle, footwork, and strategies for executing dinks effectively.

Backhand Clinic: For most players, the backhand is their weaker groundstroke. This clinic focuses on turning the backhand into a weapon. Players practice returns, drives, dinks and drops, all using their backhands.

3rd shot / 5th Shot Drop Clinic: 3rd shot and 5th shot drops are some of the most challenging, but critical shots in the game. A player’s ability to perform these shots effectively can neutralize aggressive opponents. This clinic teaches both proper techniques for these shots, and how to know when they should be used in actual game situations.

Topspin, Speed-up & Attack Clinic: Aggressive players oftentimes hold a significant advantage during pickleball play. This clinic teaches essential tools and techniques to speed up play and attack effectively from different court positions. Mastering these skills can keep opponents on defense and increase your chances of success.

Serve and Return Clinic: Instructors provide guidance on different types of serves, placement, spin, and techniques and strategies for returning various types of serves.

Doubles Strategy Clinic: Doubles play requires teamwork, communication, and strategy. This clinic highlights positioning, court coverage, shot selection, communication, and a variety of game situations. Players come to better understand the dynamics of doubles play and how to work effectively with a partner.

Clinics vary at each location.
