Macandy Olivares
Macandy (Maca), originally from Santiago, Chile, was ranked #1 in the nation throughout her junior career and reached an ITF ranking of #64. She competed professionally on the WTA tour, achieving a career-high ranking of #578. Beginning in 2016, Maca attended Texas A&M University, where she received SEC Player of the Week honors and was named SEC All-Second Team. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M in leadership studies, with minors in business and economics. After college, Maca served as assistant coach for the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Southern Arkansas University. She joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2022.
