Orange Ball One
Transitioning from the Red Court to the larger Orange Court is an important step for tennis players in the age range of 7-9. This transition introduces them to a larger playing area of 60 feet and a full-sized net. Additionally, the use of both red balls and orange balls further enhances the challenges they face.

About
The orange balls used on the Orange Court move faster and bounce higher than the red balls. This increased speed and bounce require players to improve their tracking skills and movement on the court. The players must adapt to the faster pace of the orange balls, which demands quicker reactions and footwork.
As players progress on the Orange Court, tactical sophistication becomes more important. They learn to connect shots into patterns, understanding how to construct points and develop strategies. They also begin to grasp the concept of making choices from different positions on the court, including how to move an opponent and create advantageous positions for themselves.
Technique continues to evolve during this stage. Players need to develop increased swing lengths to cover the larger court effectively. They also learn to add spin to their shots, which becomes necessary to control the ball's trajectory and keep it within the court boundaries. The growing physical capabilities of the players must be matched with the appropriate technique to meet the demands of the game on the Orange Court.
Overall, the transition to the Orange Court and the use of orange balls introduce young tennis players to a more challenging and dynamic playing environment. They learn to adapt to the increased speed, higher bounce, and larger court dimensions while refining their tactical understanding and technical skills. This stage of development lays the foundation for further progress in the sport of tennis.
